There are a variety of lunchtime and after-school clubs for the children. These include such activities as football, netball, sewing, chess, drama, dance, board games etc. Children normally sign up for these at the start of term. In addition there are activities organised through community education, for which there is a fee, in athletics and individual music tuition. Children attending clubs are registered. If they attend an after school club there is a member of staff on duty (Mrs A Scott) to manage parental liaison and communication, first aid and arising issues. Parents are requested to collect children from the front entrance to the school (by the school hall) where children will be handed over to the parents by the extended schools co-ordinator, Mrs Scott.
We have sporting teams for football and netball and these take part in regular matches and competitions. We also compete in the local athletics and cross country championships. Our sporting facilities include a large field for athletics and football as well as a number of courts for activities such as netball and hockey. The school has a hall which is used for sports clubs and singing club. In the performing arts we run a drama club and dance clubs.
Clubs are run both at lunchtimes and after-school by teaching and support staff. If you would be interested in running or supporting clubs in school and have a particualr skill or talent you wish to share please contact Mr Clarke (Headteacher), Mrs Isaac (Extra Curricular Clubs Co-ordinator) or Mrs Scott (Extended Schools Co-ordinator). You would be made most welcome.
